Lugala college of Health and allied sciences (LUCHAS) belongs to ELCT-DUK. The idea of establishing this Nursing College was created by the leadership of the Lugala Lutheran Hospital and the Diocese of Ulanga Kilombero, because since 1989 this College had been conducting pre-nursing training (pre Nursing School). Since this training was officially stopped by the government (Ministry of Health), and Lugala college of health and allied sciences is one of the Faith Based Organization (FBO)
Apart from providing better education we also teach good values to know God
REGISTRATION
The college has successfully been granted permanent registration by the relevant authority (NACTVET) since 2014, also granted full accreditation in 2017 with registration number REG/HAS/106.
Success
The college has successfully changed its name from Lugala school of Nursing and Midwifery, to Lugala College of Health and Allied Sciences last year /2022. The college has successfully added a one-year course for diploma level for in-service students. The college has hired four teachers with degrees in nursing and midwifery to reduce the shortage of teachers in the college

The College shall demonstrate competence and professionalism in the accomplishment of its mandate.Training shall be conducted at the highest level

In all ways, the College shall be open, telling the truth , ensuring that the resources (funds, equipment, and time) are realized effectively in the interest of the college. All the College staff are expected to be truthful, reliable, and accountable for their actions
STAFF MOTIVATION
The college shall instate a curture of impetus among staff in conducting different activities to ensure attainment of the desired goal
DISCIPLINE
The Colloeg will insure strict adherence to discipline in all its operations by all the parties involved.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountability shall underpin the approach of all governing council members, management and support staff to their duties and responsibilities.
Solidamed have been a great help in this college, as they have provided various aids including the construction of teaching buildings, teaching materials and also providing scholarships to staff and students as well. .
Have been providing us with various guidelines to ensure that we provide quality education based on the curricula of the Republic of Tanzania.
